FYI, while Renee Ochoa is out with Raychell, Sue Cleveland has volunteered to helpout as Membership Secretary. Thank you Sue and we hope Raychell gets better soon.
District 8 welcomes and opens the door to all members.
You cannot enter rodeos until you become a member of CHSRA and NHSRA.
Membership is open to any enrolled high school student in good standing interested in the great sport of rodeo. To be eligible for California High School Rodeo Association (CHSRA), District 8, you must maintain a 2.0 GPA, must be in good standings with your school and shall comply with all the rules and by-laws. CHSRA and District 8 follow the NHSRA Rule Book.
Events Offered:
Girls: Queen Contest, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping and Cutting.
Boys: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping and Cutting.
Each Member's Responsibilities:
New Membership packets will be mailed out by request only. Contact our Membership Secretary (see below) to request a packet. Please leave a clear detailed message with your name, complete mailing address and return phone number.
Anyone (including parents, family or friends) Helping or Associated with any CHSRA Events, You MUST be an Associate Member of CHSRA. The cost is $10. Please complete the following application and submit it to our District 8 Membership Secretary for an Associate Membership Card.
